CAMBRIDGE, MA, February 23, 2022 - GivingData, a leading provider of grants management software for family and independent foundations, has promoted Eric Jones to Product Manager. Jones joined GivingData in 2019 as a senior project manager, and was responsible for overseeing the implementation of GivingData’s grants management software.
In his new role, Jones will spearhead efforts to translate client product needs into user stories, build the business case for new features and enhancements, and promote GivingData’s product goals. He will also work in collaboration with the company’s sales, client success, and product development teams to shape GivingData’s product roadmap and vision.
“Having spent more than eighteen years in philanthropy before joining GivingData, Eric brings first-hand knowledge of the needs, pain points, and aspirations of grantmakers,” said GivingData CEO and Founder, Alf Gracombe. “Eric has a deep understanding of how our product platform today supports the core operational functions of grantmakers, and he has a keen sense of where we can expand our capabilities to continue being a leader in product innovation.”
“This is an incredibly exciting time to step into this new role given the sector’s growing adoption of tech-enabled solutions to support agility, transparency, and trust-based philanthropy,” Jones said. “Given my history of working with GivingData’s clients to implement and optimize our software, this role is a natural fit and an opportunity to have an even greater impact on the evolution of our product.”
Prior to joining GivingData, Jones served as community programs manager for the Bohemian Foundation in his home state of Colorado. Before that he served as a program officer for Meyer Memorial Trust in Portland, Oregon, and for the Flintridge Foundation in Pasadena, California.
He holds a Masters in Public Administration from Indiana University Bloomington, with a concentration in nonprofit and public sector organizational management.
